Poet.
Dainius Dirgėla was born in 1969 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
In 1993 he graduated from Vilnius University in Lithuanian language and literature and classical philology. Dainius lives in Vilnius and has worked in advertising agencies as a copywriter and creative director since 1998.
Poet:
Member of Writers Union of Lithuania since 2014;
Member of the Lithuanian poets group Svetimi (Aliens);
Co-author of the Svetimi (Aliens) poetry anthologies (1994)
and Svetimi po 20 (Aliens after 20) (2014).
Published the Dangerous Games (1995),
Observer Notes (e-book, 2013), Observer Notes / RE:PLICAS (2016) books of poetry.
Haiku poet, member of the World Haiku Association, creator of Haiga, Haiga WHA Master Artist .
Haiku and haigas published in world haiku anthologies.
Winner of several haiku contests, selected for the European Top 100 most creative haiku authors in 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015. Writes in Lithuanian language. Haiku translations into English.
